I like it that he grunts, I like it that he farts, and I like it that he snores. I think that when people choose to adopt pets that they should walk away from the kittens and maybe take a closer look at the older cats. You can’t shape them or play with them as much, but you will be giving something that most of them have never had or haven’t had in a long time: love and a home.
Arthur has been a wonderful roommate so far. Once you work out the quirks, he’s really just a fluffy, stinky, grumpy-yet-lovable old man. He’s like Carl from Up. He’s exactly like that.

Breaking Same-Sex Marriage News of the Day: Maryland today became the eigth state to legalize same-sex marriage after the state’s marriage equality bill passed in the state Senate by a vote of 25 to 22.

The state House passed the bill last week, and Gov. Martin O’Malley has already vowed to sign it.

If the legislation avoids a challenge from opponants who want a referendum on same-sex marriage — a scenario which remains uncertain — same-sex couples can begin tying the knot in January.

If, however, the issue does get added to November’s ballot, the result is currently unclear. The latest polls show Maryland voters evenly split on same-sex marriage.

Am I the only one who’s been hit by these rediculous spambots? My site got pinged about 150 times on a single day a few weeks ago, and I have a feeling it was the joker behind this. Each of these spam accounts has set their URL to redirect to a .blogspot account. It should be easy enough for Tumblr Staff to take care of this.

This is the mandarin creme liqueur I made this week. It’s a ten day vodka infusion of milk, sugar and orange slices. It is super creamy and rich and smells like a screwdriver. It’s so rich it needs to be cut with vodka or water.

It’s crystal clear with a yellow-orange tint, but nearly colorless in a glass. I’m excited to experiment with it! It should make for interesting shooters I’m thinking!

Soooooo, I just found out that my mom is giving us about $800 for the wedding, plus she said that if we go with the old hotel that I looked at forever ago, that she’d put the money up for that, too. Granted, the deposit is completely refundable (I think…I still need to check), but that is so huge! This means that we might be able to actually do more than a dessert buffet! I’m so excited right now!

I love my mother in law almost as much as my wife. (To be and to be, duh.)

After harassing the Gamemakers pretty much all week, they finally confirmed that YES! It’s only the first day they’ve been on sale and tickets to this year’s Hunger Games are projected to make it the best-selling Games in its 74-year history! Gamemakers are attributing this to the particularly outstanding line-up of Tributes — including D12’s first female volunteer ever Katniss Everdeen; along with the promotion of Seneca Crane to Head Gamemaker. I know I speak for everyone here at Capitol Couture when I say WOW, the pressure is on, Gamemakers!

Am I the ONLY person who actually re-reads everything he writes? Poorly constructed sentences like this one are everywhere and it bugs the shit out of me. Is the “they” referring to the Gamemakers who can confirm ticket sales? Or is it referring to the harassers who clearly can’t?
