There’s a new spam tactic that’s cropped up recently. Spambots open accounts then set their URL to their own ad-fest. To drive traffic, they heart random articles and hope you notice and click on their name. Watch out for the following, and be sure to flag these accounts as spam!
They have eye-catching or provocative usernames, like “hentai free communities” or (I swear) “big pissing ladies.”
When you hover over their username, it will display a non-tumblr URL at the bottom of your browser.
To get mark it as spam, just click block next to the heart…
…Then be sure to select spam on the popup.
Keep Tumblr nice and tidy. You’d pick up litter in a park, right? Well this is quicker, easier and more hygienic!
